Enrolling at Christian Heritage School Thank you for expressing an interest in Christian Heritage School. Established in 1975, CHS is a non-denominational Christian independent school with roughly 100 students from kindergarten to grade eight. We follow the Manitoba curriculum and all of our teachers are certified by the Department of Education and Training. In addition to meeting or exceeding Manitoba curriculum standards, students take daily Bible instruction, they meet each morning to pray as a school, and teachers often plan school projects and activities around biblical themes and principles.
For our grade seven and eight students, CHS has made special arrangements with outside groups to provide band, home economics, and industrial arts. Though we do not have a gymnasium, students meet their curriculum requirements through a combination of on- and off-site physical activities. CHS also offers an outstanding resource program, which includes programs in English as an Additional Language (EAL), speech pathology, occupational therapy, special needs, and enhanced math and literacy.
To the right is a link to our application package. Simply fill it out and return it, along with a $25 non-refundable registration fee, at your earliest convenience. An interview with your family will be arranged; your application then goes to the Board for approval and you will be notified of the result. Once the application is accepted, you will also have the opportunity to become voting Society members, should you wish.
If you would like to tour CHS, please call me at 725-3209. I would be happy to answer any questions.
Thank you for you interest and may God guide you in this important decision for your child's education.
In His Service, Martha Plett Principal
