A Message from Your Board President
One third of the way through the school year and counting. It will be a busy few months coming up. The school will be hiring replacements for teachers leaving on maternity leave starting in the new year. A committee has been set up to work on this with Bryan. A number of applications are already in. During the month of January the board will be planning for next year’s operational budget and will develop a 5 year long range budget. This will include larger expense projects we need to plan for within the existing school.
We are still moving forward on a capital campaign for next year. The board needs to work out a few details and answer some questions before any launch of a capital project. No date has been set to start this campaign fundraiser. Once all the pieces are in place and timelines are set we will begin.
The board would like to promote the school and build closer relationships with the churches. A couple of board members and Bryan plan to visit the Pastoral Association and talk with ministers about our school and the ministerial role we provide to the children of Brandon. We would like to do this in every church within the city. Word of mouth is our best advertising.
Thank you to all the board and parent volunteers for finding time for the school. Your help is noticed and much appreciated by the staff.
