EnrolLing at Christian Heritage School

Established in 1975, CHS is a non-denominational Christian independent school with roughly 130 students from kindergarten to grade eight.

STANDARDIZED EDUCATION AND MORE—We follow the Manitoba curriculum and all of our teachers are certified by the Manitoba Department of Education and Training. In addition to meeting or exceeding Manitoba curriculum standards, students take daily Bible instruction, they meet each morning to pray as a school, and teachers often plan school projects and activities around biblical themes and principles.

FULL COURSE OFFERINGS—Being such a small school, we are always working hard to offer students the same options as other schools. For our grade seven and eight students, CHS partners with the Brandon School Division to provide band, home economics, and industrial arts. Though we do not have a gymnasium, students meet their curriculum requirements through a combination of on- and off-site physical activities.

RESOURCE PROGRAM—CHS also offers an outstanding resource area, which includes programs in English as an Additional Language (EAL). We also offer speech pathology, occupational therapy, psychology, special needs adapted programs, and enhanced math and literacy.

RURAL BUS SERVICE—CHS has partnered with the Brandon School Division to provide rural school bus service for students living outside the City of Brandon. Please contact the school to speak about whether this transportation agreement applies to your family.

INTERNATIONAL VISITING STUDENTS—International students are also accepted on a continuous intake at CHS. There is a special International Student Application Package on the right that must be filled out and returned in order to begin the process. Please contact us for more info.

2011/2012 TUITION RATES

Please contact our office to discuss current tuition rates, payment plans, and eligibility for tuition assistance. An incentive plan is in place to help offset the costs of tuition: 7% discount if full tuition for the year is paid by June 30, 2011 and a 5% discount if full tuition for the year is paid by September 9, 2011.

TUITION ASSISTANCE FUND—Tuition assistance is also available for those families who need help paying the full amount. If you think you might need this assistance, we encourage you to consider filling out the Tuition Assistance Application Form on the right. We try to help every family who desires to come to CHS.

HOW TO APPLY—To the right is a link to our Application Package. Simply fill it out and return it, along with a $25 non-refundable registration fee. An interview with your family will be arranged; your application then goes to the Board for approval and you will be notified of the decision.

If there is anything we can do to answer questions or help you with the application process, please don’t hesitate to call the school.
