We have had the wonderful opportunity to participate in the Roots of Empathy program. This beautiful baby boy graced the presence of our grade 4 & 5 classes. The children would sing him a song and then they would watch him interact with toys and people. The children would have a chance to ask questions about the baby and give their thought on how the baby may be feeling or thinking. The program is designed to help children to think of others and to consider other peoples feelings and thoughts. The program was a huge success. The children loved watching Connor grow from infancy on to his current age. They have had lots of fun talking to him and teaching him new tricks. We look forward to next year when we get to start the program over with a new little one.
