Nursery School

​At Christian Heritage Nursery School, we are a learning through play community that is dedicated to training minds, inspiring hearts, and shaping character to equip our children for a life for passionate faith, pursuit of excellence and joyful service to the Lord Jesus Christ.

​Start-Up Registration


We are tentatively opening in January (possibly sooner) as we are going through the licensing process now. We will be offering two age groups: Pre-K (3 - 4 year olds) and Kindergarten (5 - 6 year olds registered in kindergarten). These will be half day sessions that focus on preparing your children for kindergarten and/or enhancing their development through play-based learning.

 

Please note that because there is a waitlist for government funding, that the price per session will be higher than the government funding licensed nursery schools.

 

For the Pre-K, your child must be 3 years old by December 31 st , 2025, and be fully toilet trained.

 

For the Kindergarten, your child must be 5 years old by December 31 st , 2025, and be registered in kindergarten. This will be an afternoon program only! If your child goes to Kindergarten at CHS, they can join the lunch program from 11:45- 12:45 or go home for lunch.

 

Priority will be given to CHS Society Members and 4-year-olds going to kindergarten the next Fall.

 

Note: These are the approximate days that the centre will be closed, and no fees will be charged (Spring Break, Christmas Break, Holidays, Professional Development days and Snow days).

 

Tentatively Times, Days and Price of Session:

  • Pre-K will run in the mornings Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 9:00am - 11:30am

  • Kindergarten will run in the afternoons Monday through Friday from 12:45pm - 3:30pm

  • Price per session will be $13.25

8:55am - 9:00am: Doors open/ Put Away Belongings in cubby/ Say Goodbye

9:00am - 10:15am: Free Play/ Come and Go Art/ Clean Up
10:15am - 10:45am: Snack/ Book Time
10:45am - 11:15am: Bible Story/ Circle Time
11:15am - 11:30am: Get Ready for Home Time

Kindergarten Class Schedule: Monday to Friday Afternoons
Time: 12:45pm - 3:30pm

12:45pm - 1:15pm: Doors Open/ Quiet Play with Puzzles and Books
1:15pm - 2:15pm: Free Play/ Come and Go Art/ Clean Up
2:15pm - 2:30pm: Outside Play
2:30pm - 3:00pm: Snack/ Book Time
3:00pm - 3:15pm: Bible Story/ Circle Time

Joy Lortie​​​

​​Joy Lortie holds an ECE Level 3 certification and brings over 20 years of experience in the childcare field. Throughout her career, she has worked in daycares and nursery schools, supporting children from 3 months to 12 years of age. Joy has a passion for working with children and loves watching them learn as they explore the world around them. She is excited to begin this new chapter at Christian Heritage School. For the past 6 years, Joy and her family have called Brandon home. She and her husband, Andrew, have three children and a cat. In her free time, Joy enjoys reading, watching Hallmark movies, and spending time with her family.
